Abstract
The study presents the concept, origins and practical significance of victim care—also known as forensic nursing—focusing especially on the American model and its global expansion. It provides a detailed overview of the responsibilities of forensic nurses, ranging from victim treatment and evidence collection to expert testimony and support of investigative procedures. The author concludes that victim care, as a multidisciplinary field, enhances the effectiveness of criminalistics, strengthens victim protection and contributes to the overall efficiency of the justice system.
