Abstract
A significant part of the Hungarian population has a negative attitude towards Roma, Jews and immi grants. The essay, building on the rich experience of German authorities and researchers in dealing with prejudice, anti-Semitism and xenophobia, focuses on possible ways to combat violent hate crimes.
