Abstract
The case study analyzes in detail a criminal investigation launched on suspicion of sexual assault, demonstrating how investigative errors ultimately made proof impossible. The author highlights that disregarding criminological principles—especially in victim interviews and the handling of biological evidence—can fundamentally influence the outcome of the proceedings. The study underscores the indispensable role of professional, consistent investigative work and experienced practitioners in uncovering crimes against sexual morality.
