He holds the Candidate of Legal Sciences degree (CSc). For nearly forty years he has been engaged in teaching and scientific work in the fields of criminology, criminal law, policing studies, and their related disciplines. Throughout his career, he has played a pivotal role in the development of Hungarian law enforcement higher education and research, serving in senior leadership positions at the Police College, the Ministry of Interior, and the Law Enforcement Research Institute. He has made significant contributions to the creation of the competency-based leadership training system within the internal affairs sector, as well as to the advancement and academic recognition of policing studies as an independent scientific discipline. As Editor-in-Chief of the Belügyi Szemle (Academic Journal of Internal Affairs), he plays a key role in strengthening the national and international visibility of law enforcement scholarship. Dr. SZABÓ, Csaba Ph.D deputy editor-in-chief, police lieutenant colonel, associate professor, criminologist
He is an Associate Professor at the Department of Criminology and Criminalistics of the Deák Ferenc Faculty of Law and Political Sciences, Széchenyi István University, and the programme director of the Master’s degree in Criminology. He earned his Ph.D. in Military Sciences at the Ludovika University of Public Service, and subsequently obtained his Master’s degree in Criminology at Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest. His primary research area is environmental criminology, with particular emphasis on the protection of sacred sites. (Ministry of Interior, Hungary)
