Abstract
The Hungarian Parliament recently adopted a new law which annulled court decisions regarding riots in the fall of 2006. The article provides an overview of the legal controversy around this piece of legislation. By doing that, the author also reviews the previous four annulment laws which were passed by the Hungarian Parliament in the transition era, all of which were designed to solve the problem of the judicial misconduct under the communist regime.
