Abstract

Aim: The aim of this study is to present Balázs Hohmann’s monograph, as well as its significance and topicality. Furthermore, I would like to arouse the interest of future readers.

Methodology: This paper was prepared based on the analysis of the monograph.

Findings: In the review, I emphasise Balázs Hohmann’s ideas, mentioned several times in his monograph, that transparency is a constitutional requirement in the legal sense. When somebody reads the monograph, all related questions will be answered, proving that the topic of transparency is present in every step of the administrative procedure, and its importance is unquestionable.

Value: The monograph presents the issue of transparency. The work emphasised the conceptual elements of transparency and the related expectations during the administrative procedure. The author also highlighted the limitations of transparency. The jurisprudence was also presented. Finally, it proves what was described earlier in the context of empirical research.
