Abstract

Debates on the ethical and legal guidelines, as well as the overall legality and efficiency of secret service investigations are evergreen topics throughout the world. The author scrutinizes criteria for legal and efficient secret information gathering and provides a critical analysis of the current Hungarian legal framework, and proposed amendments to it.
