New crime prevention methods in Gyır-Moson-Sopron County

Abstract

The Crime Prevention Department of the Gyır-Moson-Sopron County Police Headquarters has always pioneered in working with children and young adults in interesting, innovative and efficient crime prevention programs. The author provides a description of an example for this: the “With you-for you” crime prevention project, carried out in cooperation with the Hungarian Maltese Charity Service. The project, focusing on young people hanging around aimlessly in shopping malls, successfully created social cohesion by using experimental pedagogy.
