Regime change and modernization in the home affairs administration (1989–1994)

Abstract

The book’s foreword by László Felkai, State Secretary for Administration of the Ministry of the Interior, begins with „Respect to the reader and the administration!” Consonant with the intention of the authors, he considers the use of the term filling the gap to be justified because, “this type of authentic textbook has not yet been prepared on the period of system change and modernization of the Ministry of the Interior between 1989-1994.” In his writing he covers that the authors of the book take on a dual role of the socio-state processes affecting the home affairs administration and the radical transformation of certain sub-areas of the home affairs administration through their experiences. We are talking about a multiple author’s book, which was published as a compilation of Imre Verebélyi’s ingenious editorial work.
