Abstract
Aim: Many people do not even think that the victims of domestic violence do not only suffer physical abuse, but that they also experience psychological abuse and psychological harm. Our aim is to introduce a new, helpful co-operation and method for assisting victims of this type of crime.
Methodology: Assistance to victims of crime was largely provided by individual administrative and law enforcement agencies. Under the new method, not only state and law enforcement agencies would be involved, but also representatives and pastors of individual Christian churches.
Findings: It can be stated that victims of domestic violence really need help. They need to receive this not only from government agencies, but also from the help of church pastoral care.
Value: The concept outlined in our study projects a development opportunity for the Hungarian Police, which can already be seen in the case of other law enforcement agencies As such a concept does not yet exist within the police, our proposal is original.
