Containment of coronavirus by the Hungarian Prison Service

Abstract

The Hungarian Prison Service has developed in a fast response to the situation a special protection system for health and safety of the captives and the staff. The measurements released during the pandemic attendance served and ensured in a complex way that in Hungary no captives with coronavirus disease has been found until now. The positive value judgement of professional decision makers and of the society have proofed for commanders and staff the results of a legal and professional fulfilment of tasks. One of the most important lessons in containment of the coronavirus pandemic is that the most effective way of protection can be, until the appearance of a proofed effective vaccine, responsible attitude and connecting to that the compliance with preventive measurements.
