Abstract
Reflecting the characteristics of the Hungarian victim support system, the article briefly describes its organizational system and the state victim support services, as well as the critiques of the system. Furthermore, based on this, it covers the best practices in victim support in the Southern Transdanubia. In relation to this, the article describes the role of the Victim Support Centers to be established in all county capitals by 2026, presents the system which was created by the police and government office in Tolna county and presents in detail the victim support system developed by the Somogy County Police, which is currently a unique initiative in the country.
