Abstract
Aim: The monograph provides an answer to why accidents occur and how to increase the effectiveness of accident prevention work.
Methodology: Using literature summaries, statistical analyses, scientific studies and research, the author explores the factors that play an important role in driving.
Findings: The most recent problems in traffic psychology: visual processing disorders and attention-related errors; mobile phone distractions; the negative effects of fatigue, drugs and alcohol; risky driving behaviour of young drivers, the future of autonomous driving.
Value: As far as the subject of the book is concerned, it is a really important and suppletory work, it reveals the topics comprehensively. The description of psychological methods is supplemented by the author’s own insights, drawing conclusions chapter by chapter. It also includes useful information for accident investigators, criminologists, police officers, and criminal justice professionals.
