The Hungarian Defence Force in streaming of the system change

Abstract

It was a splendid idea of the Institute for Research of the History of System Change and of the archive to incorporate the research of a special and closed area in their programs when they entrusted authentic higher officers with the research task of the transformation Hungarian Folk Army – Hungarian Defence Force. Colonel Dr. Imre Helgert, and colonel Dr. Gyula Mészáros made and general József Kelemen edited the two-volumes-work. The authors: Dr. Imre Helgert graduated at the Military Academy Miklós Zrínyi and got later a PhD degree at the University of National Defence, he was also commander of higher military unit. Dr. Gyula Mészáros was a fighter pilot and later he graduated at the Military Academy Miklós Zrínyi and at the Staff Academy of the Soviet Union. He was among others pilot commander of the 5th Army and later tenured professor of the Academy Zrínyi. They both devoted themselves for the defence of our home country.
