Abstract

The book of Anna Feigenbaum, lecturer at the Bournemouth University in the United Kingdom, looks at from under a legal activist’s spectacles the application of compounds, used as war gas in the World War I, in law enforcement. The disadvantage of the not concealed attitude of a legal activist is that it makes the otherwise valuable work one-sided, not paying appropriate attention on presentation of law enforcement aspects. This book of 218 pages is the first autonomous monography of the author searching, actively publishing and frequently present in the media as an expert of this topic. It exhibits knowledge about tear gas, producers and traders in the military-industrial complex and further the effect of the chemicals on demonstrations in eight chapters.
