Abstract
Security is a basic needs for everyone, and this is especially true for our living environment. That is why the role of local communities is also significant despite globalization. Community spaces, which can be both indoor and outdoor ones, are excellent areas for building and strengthening residential communities. By using CPTED (Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design) tools, these spaces can become safe through participatory methodology, proper planning and public engagement.
